By default, when you create a new document in the document library, it uses the blank normal template, which doesn't have any company logos or branding. However, most enterprises prefer using their own templates. That's what I'm going to show you in this demonstration. Here are the steps we'll be following: 1. Create new content types for documents, presentations, and spreadsheets. 2. Create templates for each content type. I've already completed this step. 3. Assign the content types to a new document library. 4. Set the default content type to the new templates. 5. Save the library app as a template named "Contoso Doclet." It's important to note that this feature works best in Internet Explorer. Starting up office applications may not work as well in other browsers. The problem we're trying to solve is that when we create new documents by clicking "New Document," they are just blank files without any company branding. The goal is to change this and ensure that our documents have the necessary branding elements. To begin, we'll delete the example file. Then, we'll access the site settings on my site. Under the "Web Designer Galleries" and "Site Content Types," I will create three new content types. The first one will be called "Contoso Doc," which will be based on the document template and the document content type. It will belong to a new group called "Contoso." I will also upload the new document template from "My Documents" and "Contoso Templates." We will repeat the same process two more times to create the "Contoso Deck" content type for PowerPoint decks and the "Contoso Spreadsheet" content...
